Rules for buying from our farm
These terms apply when you buy dried fruits from DriedFruitPlant, either online, at our retail outlets, or at farmer markets. By placing an order, you agree to these conditions.
Last updated: October 2025
What Laws Apply to Our Business
DriedFruitPlant is a proprietorship farm registered in Maharashtra, India under the ownership of Rajesh Kulkarni. We follow the Food Safety and Standards Act 2006 (FSSAI) for dried fruit processing and labeling. Our FSSAI license number is available on request for wholesale and export partners.
All transactions are governed by Indian law, specifically the Indian Contract Act 1872 and Consumer Protection Act 2019. Disputes are subject to the jurisdiction of courts in Nashik, Maharashtra. For small claims (below ₹50,000), we encourage resolution through consumer forums in Nashik before legal proceedings.
GST and Tax Compliance
We are registered under GST (Goods and Services Tax) Act. All invoices include GSTIN and HSN codes for dried fruits. Tax rates are as per current government regulations — typically 5% GST for dried fruits. We provide GST‑compliant invoices for business buyers who need input tax credit.
Export Regulations
For international orders, we follow Export (Quality Control and Inspection) Act 1963. Export lots are inspected and certified by authorized agencies. We provide all necessary documents: phytosanitary certificate, certificate of origin, health certificate, and packing list.
What We Expect from Buyers
Payment Terms
Orders below 5 kg can be paid via COD (cash on delivery) with ₹50 service charge to cover courier fees. Orders above 5 kg require 50% advance via bank transfer or UPI. Balance is due before dispatch. If balance is not paid within 7 days of our dispatch‑ready notification, we cancel the order and refund the advance minus ₹100 admin fee to cover packing and QC costs already incurred.
We accept UPI (Google Pay, PhonePe, Paytm), NEFT, RTGS, and IMPS. Payment details are sent via email after order confirmation. For wholesale buyers, we offer 30‑day credit terms after the first 3 successful orders with on‑time payments.
Understanding Product Quality
You accept that dried fruits are agricultural products with natural variation in size, color, and taste across batches. We maintain moisture at 12–15% and test for aflatoxin, but we cannot guarantee identical appearance or exact sweetness levels. Grade (W240, W320) and harvest month are specified on labels — these determine size and price, not quality.
Our quality guarantee covers: moisture content within range, absence of pests and foreign matter, proper sealing. We do not guarantee specific taste intensity, exact color shade, or nut size uniformity within a grade range. Agricultural variance is natural.
Delivery Acceptance
Inspect the outer box upon delivery before signing the courier slip. If the box is crushed, torn, or wet, note "box damaged" on the delivery slip and inform us within 6 hours via phone or email with photos. Once you sign as received without remarks, we assume the box arrived intact and cannot process damage claims.
For wholesale deliveries above 25 kg, open and inspect contents within 24 hours. Report any shortage, wrong products, or quality issues within this window with photos of batch labels.
Allergen Awareness
Our facility in Someshwar processes tree nuts (cashews, almonds) and dried fruits (raisins, apricots). Despite cleaning between batches, cross‑contamination is possible. All our products may contain traces of tree nuts.
If you have severe nut allergies, do not consume our products. We are not liable for allergic reactions. Retail and wholesale buyers must include allergen warnings ("may contain tree nuts") on any repacked products sold to end consumers.
Order Cancellation by Us
We reserve the right to cancel orders if: (1) product is out of stock due to crop failure or quality rejection during QC, (2) delivery address is unreachable by our courier partners, (3) payment fails verification checks. Full refund is processed within 5 working days in such cases.
How to Resolve Issues or Complaints
If you have a complaint about product quality, delivery delay, or billing, contact us first at contact@driedfruitplant.com or +91 20 9021 8897. We aim to resolve issues within 7 working days through direct conversation.
If we cannot reach a solution, disputes will be handled under Indian arbitration law in Nashik, Maharashtra as per the Arbitration and Conciliation Act 1996. Arbitration proceedings are conducted in English. Legal costs are borne by the party that loses arbitration.
Refund and Replacement Policy
We do not refund opened packs due to food safety regulations. For unopened packs with quality issues (excess moisture above 16%, presence of pests, wrong product sent), share photos and batch number within 7 days of delivery. We verify against our QC records and issue replacement or full refund within 10 working days.
Refunds are processed to the original payment method (bank account, UPI ID). COD orders receive refund via bank transfer — provide your account details with IFSC code. International buyers receive refunds via the same payment gateway used for purchase.
Complaint Escalation
If your issue is not resolved within 14 days, you may escalate to: (1) Consumer forum in Nashik for claims below ₹1 lakh, (2) FSSAI regional office in Maharashtra for food safety concerns, (3) Cyber cell for payment or data issues.
Pricing and Product Availability
Prices on our website are updated weekly and may change based on harvest yield and market rates. Once you receive a quotation, that price is locked for 7 days. After 7 days, we may revise pricing based on current stock and costs.
Product availability depends on harvest season and drying schedules. Cashews and almonds are usually available year‑round. Raisins may be limited between October and December. Apricots are seasonal (March–July stock). We notify you within 24 hours if your requested product is out of stock.
Minimum Order Quantities
Retail customers: no minimum, you can buy from 100 g packs. Wholesale and hotel buyers: 25 kg per SKU minimum. Export: 500 kg minimum per shipment. These limits help us maintain quality and reduce packaging waste.
Limitation of Liability
Our liability is limited to the purchase value of the specific product in question. We are not liable for indirect losses, business downtime, or consequential damages resulting from product use or delivery delays.
For wholesale and export buyers: maximum liability is capped at the invoice value of the affected batch. We are not responsible for losses due to resale price drops, storage mishandling by buyer, or market changes.
Force Majeure
We are not liable for delays or failures caused by events beyond our control: natural disasters (floods, droughts affecting harvest), government restrictions, courier strikes, or pandemic lockdowns. In such cases, we will notify you promptly and offer rescheduling or full refund.
Intellectual Property
The DriedFruitPlant name, logo, and website content are owned by Rajesh Kulkarni. You may not use our branding, images, or text for commercial purposes without written permission. Wholesale buyers may use our product photos for retail listings with credit to DriedFruitPlant.
Batch labels, packaging designs, and our drying process documentation are proprietary. Copying or reproducing these for competing businesses is prohibited.
Changes to These Terms
We may update these terms when regulations change or we add new services. Significant changes will be posted on our website 30 days before taking effect. Active wholesale buyers will receive email notification.
Continued use of our services after changes means you accept the updated terms. The current version is dated October 2025.
